Lehlohonolo's Story I initially discovered my passion for coding while pursuing my BSc degree, where Python became a pivotal language in our data analysis coursework. The power of Python to elegantly solve intricate problems resonated with me, transforming my approach to tackling real-world challenges. Embarking on the journey of learning how to code is a deeply personal and empowering choice for me. As a black woman who grew up in the villages of Limpopo, the decision to delve into coding is motivated by a desire to be a trailblazer. I recognize the transformative potential of coding not only as a tool for personal growth but also as a means to break barriers and challenge the underrepresentation of women, particularly women of color, in the tech industry. Coding is my pathway to innovation and a way to shatter preconceived notions, aiming to inspire others from similar backgrounds to pursue their passions in the vast and exciting world of technology. This journey is more than just acquiring a skill; it's about forging a path that others can follow and creating a space where diversity thrives.

I find joy in the perfect blend of music and hiking during my leisure time. There's a unique harmony as I explore nature's beauty while being accompanied by my favorite tunes. Whether it's the serene sounds of a forest trail or the rhythmic beat of my favourite songs, this combination enhances my hiking experience, creating moments of pure enjoyment and relaxation.

Lehlohonolo's coding training

Lehlohonolo has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!

📦 Foundation students get access to these coding workshops:
1. SheCodes Basics (3 weeks)
2. SheCodes AI Basics (3 weeks)
She’ll gain access to each portion after finishing the preceding portion. She’ll build up her coding knowledge gradually along the way. 🙌
