Lerato 's Story I believe it was from a very young age and my constant need for knowledge. I realised very early on that knowing how to fix things and knowing how things work limits the possibility of me being disappointed by people. I guess I needed my independence from a very early age. After thinking about it, I also realised that I would be the go-to person when devices in my home would start malfunctioning, especially for my aunt and that sparked my need to know how little microchips turn to screens that have colour and move to my command.

🙋‍♀️ Lerato 's Motivation

I first love how it is mainly for women. I genuinely believe that for women to be recognised entirely, women should lift each other. I love that this foundation realises and appreciates the impact it has on an individual from a less developed country like South Africa to interact and see people like you, be able to achieve and make their dreams possible.

🤹‍♀️ Lerato 's Hobbies

I enjoy farming but not the bugs that come with it and reading.

🎯

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
