Lina's Story Working with surveys and personal information from groups of people was my first time seeing data, and looking for technical resources to manage them. I saw that there are language programs such as R, Python, and SQL where you can work with your data, cleaning, transforming, and managing them to understand and analyze. I want to be able to automatize my work because at the moment is "rustic" and manual. I also want to share with people from the Social Sciences that we can code and apply it in our fields, coding is not just for engineers.

🙋‍♀️ Lina's Motivation

I would like to learn how to code because I have realized it is an important skill in order to analyze information and work with big amounts of data. I am a sociologist, who has been working as a researcher doing surveys and working with the information from the survey answers. I want to be better at my job and career, also I want to improve my skills and prove to myself I can code and apply it in my job.

🤹‍♀️ Lina's Hobbies

I like being outdoors, so I ride my bike around my town. I also like to watch videos from Deutsche Welle television to learn about different cultures. I like to learn new things so I like to improve my English by studying online also I started my first steps in Python months ago so I have been studying by myself.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
