Linamandla's Story When I started taking computer classes in school, that's when I initially developed an interest in coding. The thought of starting from scratch and having the ability to write a software that could perform a certain task interested me. In order to further explore the potential of making something from nothing, I wanted to start learning how to code. In addition, I was interested in programming's potential for automating repetitive chores. The idea of being able to create a website or application that might assist someone or in some way enhance their job or lives excites me as well.

My motivation for learning how to code with SheCodes is to gain a better understanding of the technology that is driving the world. Through coding, I will be able to create better software, websites, and applications. Additionally, I am motivated to learn coding because I am interested in the problem-solving aspects of programming and the ability to create something from nothing. I am also motivated to learn coding to increase my employability and marketability.

Some of my hobbies include reading, playing video games, writing , hiking, running, and spending time with friends. For fun I like to watch movies, play board games, go for walks, explore different areas, and spend time in nature.

Linamandla's coding training

Linamandla has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!

📦 Foundation students get access to these coding workshops:
1. SheCodes Basics (3 weeks)
2. SheCodes AI Basics (3 weeks)
She’ll gain access to each portion after finishing the preceding portion. She’ll build up her coding knowledge gradually along the way. 🙌
