Lorah's Story I started being interested in computers ever since they introduced a computer class in my primary school. They were those old computers and we were only taught basics but that's where my interest started. I started learning the R language immediately after I finished high school. I felt so proud of myself whenever any of my codes went through. I learned a few more codes in my first year of University before I deferred and I have been practicing ever since. Coding has always been my passion.

🙋‍♀️ Lorah's Motivation

I have had passion to learning coding since I completed high school. I got called to the University for a Computer Science program which I wasn't able to complete due to fee challenges. When I heard of the SheCodes Foundation, I thought to myself this is the perfect opportunity to learn more about coding. I know this workshop will be life changing for me and I know I'll learn a lot from it. I chose the Computer Science program since I specifically wanted to be a woman in the technology field and I wanted to be able to showcase my skills and passion. I am hoping this opportunity will help me land a job and then I'll be able to pay off my school fees and then get my degree. It would be the perfect opportunity for me. I may not have a lot of skills but I have the passion to learn and given this opportunity I will utilize it to the fullest. I hope you consider me.

Lorah's coding training

Lorah has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!

📦 Foundation students get access to these coding workshops:
1. SheCodes Basics (3 weeks)
2. SheCodes AI Basics (3 weeks)
She’ll gain access to each portion after finishing the preceding portion. She’ll build up her coding knowledge gradually along the way. 🙌
