Louisa's Story I worked as a Test analyst previously and I was fascinated with the backend and frontend testing because I would always ask myself how was this feature or project created, it made me curious if I too could do the same and created a desire to wanting to create and code these features too. I've always wondered why such things work the way they do. Now imagine being able to code and show why certain softwares work the way they do.

🙋‍♀️ Louisa's Motivation

I went to tertiary and studied Geology and Geographical Information Systems. 2 years back I was introduced to the world of IT and immediately knew this is a field I want to excel in. Unfortunately at current I don't afford to pay for a degree but with She Codes I am able to learn and excel for free. I'm excited to learn how to code and to gain in-demand skills for a career in tech that will bring me financial freedom for my family and I, ensure that I have job security and fulfill my dream of a career in tech as Information Technology is the future.

🤹‍♀️ Louisa's Hobbies

Initially I started a fitness page to track my weightloss but I've come to realise that any form of physical activity, mostly the gym is one of my favorite hobbies. I love hanging out with my family, I have a 10 year old daughter and showing and experiencing new things with her is my definition of fun. If I'm not working out or with my daughter I'm mingling and socializing with friends over a a nice cold glass.

Louisa's coding training

Louisa has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!
