Ly's Story I first learned about coding when I was in high school, we had some classes about the introduction about Turbo Pascal program but because it was included in the program so we studied no more but the basic introduction about it. Last year, when I participated in some courses on the platform of Coursera about website management, I was introduced more the practical roles of coding in building and developing the website which made me interested more on it. I perceive that coding can helps me to have a proative approach to different computer tasks, online services and many other tools in our daily life. Moreover, I also want to develop myself to reach new opportunity in an international world market where freelancer position and hyper-specialized demand in the jobs.

🙋‍♀️ Ly's Motivation

There are two main reasons to stimulate my enthusiasm in starting course about coding with SheCodes teams. Firstly, it comes for my interest in particular 21st-century skill sets in which coding plays an important roles in many aspects, ranging from academics to job opportunities. My country, Vietnam, is on the way to approach globalization with many plan to keep up with the development in other countries. However, the education system is still focused on theory only, as a result, young people find ourselves inferior If we only focused on the program in school. Through this course, I hope to advance my potential in a new aspect and get better prepared for the future. Secondly, I am trying to become a women leader with initiatives which support the betterment of young generation, especially those who live in countryside. Recently I have coopereated with other students to found a project about global citizen education for high school student in Phu tho. The project has received many positive feedback from the students and teachers. For the next phase of the project, I aslo want to build the theme about technology development and computer skills to motivate the students challenge themselves. As a result, I find the participation in SheCodes course a golden chance to learn and improve the knowledge about this aspect, therefore I can be more confident to implement the project and introduce your meaningful l program to more student. Last but not least, thanks to the free workshop and reviews of alumnae on Internet, I find SheCode a good environment for a freshman like me to go step by step from basic to advanced level. The professionalism of your program in tandem with detailed instruction motivates me to study for further.

🤹‍♀️ Ly's Hobbies

Speaking to my hobbies, I spend almost of my leisure time for reading books because the travel through papers opens new horizon and improve language skills. I often choose different kinds of book to read, for example recently I am reading research collections namely the Predictable Irrational by Dan Ariely. For the year 2021, I have completed almost 30 books in Vietnamese and English. Besides, I also love watching online courses to advance my understandings and listen to the mentoring advices to work out the problems in works and career path.
