Magali 's Story As a psychologist, my interest in coding started because I wanted to find new ways to tackle psychosocial issues. In my work, I saw the potential of technology and coding to help gather and analyze data on a larger scale, giving us a deeper understanding of the challenges communities and individuals face in terms of mental health and social well-being. What really excites me is that coding allows us to create tech tools that can make people's lives better by offering fresh, user-friendly solutions. The blend of psychology and tech is pretty fascinating, and it's what keeps me motivated to learn to code. I want to fully embrace this mix and, in the end, make a more effective contribution to the well-being of the communities I work with.

🙋‍♀️ Magali 's Motivation

As a psychologist working on psychosocial projects, my motivation to learn how to code with She Codes stems from the incredible opportunities to contribute to the growth and well-being of communities. The combination of technological skills and knowledge in psychology enables me to conduct large-scale data analysis, which, in turn, allows me to create technological resources that align with psychological science. This synergy between technology and psychology can open new doors to address complex issues in mental health, social well-being, and people's quality of life. Through She Codes, I hope to acquire the necessary skills to make a meaningful contribution in this exciting intersection of technology and psychology.

🤹‍♀️ Magali 's Hobbies

I'm all about that love for lifelong learning. I get a kick out of picking up new things and skills. Learning languages is a total blast for me because it lets me tap into various cultures and different ways of looking at the world. I'm a huge movie buff. Movies are like this powerful tool for me to wrap my head around the messy, wonderful complexity of us humans. But, you know what really gets my heart racing? Music! Playing the piano is like my happy place, my way to let it all out. Music has this magical way of tugging at your heartstrings and connecting with people on a whole other level. It's my sanctuary and a never-ending source of inspiration in my life.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
