Mahdia's Story I first became interested in coding as a computer teacher because I recognized its essential role in preparing students for the digital future. Teaching in a rapidly evolving technological landscape, I saw firsthand the growing importance of digital literacy and coding skills across all industries. Witnessing the transformative impact of coding on problem-solving abilities and creativity among students inspired me to delve deeper into the subject. I believe that coding not only equips students with practical skills but also nurtures critical thinking and innovation. It empowers them to understand and shape the digital world they inhabit, preparing them for careers that increasingly rely on technology. As I integrated coding into my curriculum, I witnessed students' enthusiasm and engagement grow as they tackled coding challenges and developed their own projects. This experience reinforced my commitment to fostering a generation of learners who are proficient in coding and well-prepared for the opportunities and challenges of the digital age. I am passionate about equipping students with the skills they need to thrive in an increasingly interconnected and technology-driven world.

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
