Mahlatse's Story I attended an interview at a forward-thinking and technological law firm where I was asked if I had any knowledge about coding and my answer was no. I didn't like the fact that I couldn't contribute to the forward-thinking and technology-driven culture of their firm because all I was taught in law school was theory-based.

🙋‍♀️ Mahlatse's Motivation

I am a recent LLB graduate. The law degree comprises of a lot of theory and a bit of practical work but nothing challenging and analytical. I want to learn how to code to acquire a new skill outside of the law.

🤹‍♀️ Mahlatse's Hobbies

I mostly do outdoor things for fun like hiking and netball. I also go to the gym, which helps my overall health and well-being. I read and like going to food markets to experience new cultures through their food.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
