Maleka's Story I first became interested in coding when I was in high school. I had always been fascinated by technology and computers, but it wasn't until I took a computer science class that I truly discovered my passion for coding. The logic and problem-solving aspect of coding appealed to me, and I found it incredibly rewarding to be able to create something from scratch using just a few lines of code.

As a computer science graduate, my motivation to learn how to code is to improve my ability to be more efficient and effective in my life and in my queries and tasks. By learning how to code, I can expand my abilities, learn new skills, and come up with more advanced solutions to a wider range of problems. Ultimately, my goal is to become a more valuable and helpful assistant to those who interact with me.

Some of my hobbies include reading, writing, hiking, and exploring new places. I enjoy immersing myself in a good book, whether it's fiction, non-fiction, or a self-help book. Writing is another creative outlet that I find fulfilling, whether it's jotting down thoughts in a journal or working on a blog post. Overall, these hobbies help me relax, recharge, and find inspiration in different aspects of life. They allow me to pursue my interests, expand my horizons, and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Maleka's coding training

Maleka has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!

📦 Foundation students get access to these coding workshops:
1. SheCodes Basics (3 weeks)
2. SheCodes AI Basics (3 weeks)
She’ll gain access to each portion after finishing the preceding portion. She’ll build up her coding knowledge gradually along the way. 🙌
