Mantombi's Story After completing matric in 1999

🙋‍♀️ Mantombi's Motivation

After finishing my matric I had to stay at home as my father said it was not his intention to take a girl to University as this is a waste because after University we get married. I stayed the whole year at home but was granted a bursary to study at Wits University doing business management as my marks were too low to do IT, completed the course and then started working for a bank and did banking advice course, but through all this years my dream was to do IT especially coding. It will be my dream come through to do this course.

🤹‍♀️ Mantombi's Hobbies

Reading, jogging and doing free short courses to unskill myself

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
