Mapitso's Story Technology is forever changing and I have always been fascinated by that evolution. In 2023 I decided that I wanted to transition into tech, I started doing research on different tech roles and coding stood out for me as I have always thought it was a male dominated field, but with research I realised that there are actually a lot of women doing so well in tech.

All the women I follow on TikTok learned how to code with SheCodes and they speak very highly of it. The fact that SheCodes coding workshops have a rating of 4.9/5 is very remarkable and it makes me want to be one of the women to learn coding with SheCodes. I have seen so many people on the internet who have managed to get into the tech field and have good jobs after attending the coding workshops, I want that for myself too, so I can provide a better life for my family.

I absolutely love improving my skills and learning new skills. I enjoy taking free online classes. I enjoy playing games that enable me to come up with solutions and resolve complex issues.

Mapitso's coding training

Mapitso has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!

2. SheCodes AI Basics (3 weeks)
She’ll gain access to each portion after finishing the preceding portion. She’ll build up her coding knowledge gradually along the way. 🙌
