Mariana's Story I became interested in coding at the university. Even though my main field of study at university was philology, we also had advanced mathematics and the basics of programming (Pascal and Python), and I really liked dealing with the code. I even helped other students with their homework. Working at IT companies made me even more interested. Although I work as a Customer Support Manager, this experience allowed me to see the structure of IT companies from the inside and discover a wide range of departments and professions. I understood what exactly I wanted to do and what vector of development to choose.

🙋‍♀️ Mariana's Motivation

Like millions of Ukrainians on February 24th, I was forced to leave my permanent place of residence in Kharkiv and move to western Ukraine. These events made me think about my life and my chosen profession. I want to learn how to code since it will allow me to get a demanded and highly-paid job, and feel stability, and confidence in the future in this difficult time.

🤹‍♀️ Mariana's Hobbies

watching movies, playing video games, coding :)

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
