Mariana's Story While growing up, I was astounded by how technology is affecting each of us. Robots are replacing people in risky jobs, social networks allow us to communicate across borders, apps help patients find a doctor or order medicine at the best price, and that's only the beginning .This was why I wanted to study computer science: I was captivated with the idea of changing humanity for the better through gaining and improving necessary skills. Hard to imagine how magnificent our planet may become if only we continue to develop the IT industry! I imagined what it would be like to be part of the innovation that saves more lives from diseases, or even communicate with other universes.

During the war, I was forced to become a refugee twice. The first time I lived for one yearsabroad, but in the end I returned to my family and now I left my hometown Kharkiv again due to my diseases . I want to work in IT. This is my dream, passion and admiration. Now, I try to try as many different fields as possible, but as a refugee I don't have money for paid courses. So I hope that SheCodes will help me in mastering a new field

I enjoy UX UI design and learn Python, study English and German, like to read, cook, do boxing and Pilates

Mariana's coding training

Mariana has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!
