Martha's Story During my course of Business Computing, where I was first introduced to how systems and software support real business operations. As I learned about information systems, databases, and how applications are used in organizations, I became curious about how these systems are actually built and how code makes them work. This curiosity grew as I interacted more with computers in my coursework and saw how technology solves everyday business problems. Over time, I realized that learning coding would allow me not only to use systems but also to create and improve them, which motivated me to pursue it further

🙋‍♀️ Martha's Motivation

As a Business Computing graduate, learning coding with SheCodes motivates me because it will transform my theoretical knowledge into practical, in-demand skills, make me more competitive in the job market, and open opportunities for better-paying roles such as systems analyst, IT officer, or digital operations assistant. It will also empower me to build real solutions for businesses, earn independently through freelance or small tech projects, and grow my confidence as a woman in technology. It’s is a rare opportunity to upgrade my skills, improve my CV, and take control of my career future instead of only depending on job applications

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
