Martha's Story Having been working in the accountancy field, I have faced some challenges with the systems we use, at times as they fail to do exactly what you may want or expect. With this challenge, I have believed that with coding skills, it is simply possible to alter the code to what you want making work easier. Moreso, recently most women have been inspiring each other to learn coding as technology continues to dominate, which then stirred the interest to learn coding.

🙋‍♀️ Martha's Motivation

SheCodes provides a learning opportunity to code for women across the globe, also with the privilege of providing free coding classes for underprivileged women. Learning how to code with SheCodes will provide me with the motivation and inspiration I may need, knowing that if other women can do it I can also do it, through seeing the achievement or completion of the courses and testimonies of other women learning with SheCodes.

🤹‍♀️ Martha's Hobbies

My hobbies are sightseeing, especially natural attractions. I also spent a bit of time finding fun on social media platforms.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
