Maryam's Story It was 2 years ago that I participated in a programming course called scratch programming. In that program we were taught to create 2D animation and games by the help of a program called scratch all we had to do we needed to arrange the animation and the characters and add some options to them but the teacher explained that we can also do this by writing some codes so this really inspired me and then I found it really challenging because I thought the more challenges I expose myself to the more I can learn. On top of that now when our world is changing very fast and when I read something online about technology and especially about AI I find out that they are all written by coach so I'm just dreaming that one day I could also work on big projects that could completely affect the whole fate of the world.

🙋‍♀️ Maryam's Motivation

I am personally of the belief that the more I learn the better I can be. Therefore, I make sure to take full advantage of any learning opportunities to enhance my skills and broaden my understanding of the world. Since I am living in Afghanistan, I cannot go to school because I am a girl. But it has not stopped me. I want to learn from any opportunity that life presents me with. By acquiring the coding skills and knowledge from SheCodes, I can acquire the skills I need in order to be successful and help both myself and my family financially.

🤹‍♀️ Maryam's Hobbies

I have a lot of hobbies as a teenager but the ones that I really like are reading books, playing with my sisters with my little sisters, and also learning English. I read the different genres of books especially novels. The book that I am currently reading is called The Alchemist by Paulo Paulo. On top of that, I have two little sisters whom I need to take care of when my mother is busy doing the house chores which is great and fun activity. Lastly, I learn English everyday beacuse I want to improve my English language skills to a higher and advanced scale.
