Maryjane 's Story I have loved coding starting from a young age but I saw it as something that will be very difficult for a woman. Not until I started seeing so many women in tech and at the same doing so well. My Friend that introduced me also quit her job and entered into coding. That faithful day I watched her code, all my fear was gone. I said, if Nenye can do, I, Maryjane can also do it. And I also told myself, this could be me….”Maryjane, arise and let your light shine”. That was how I made up my mind to join coding program.

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
