Masoma's Story My interest in coding started with my curiosity about how websites and applications are built. Every day, I use technology to learn, communicate, and access information, and I often wondered what happens behind the scenes to make these digital tools work. The idea that someone could create a website from scratch fascinated me and inspired me to explore the world of programming. As I researched different career paths, I realized that coding is much more than writing lines of code. It is a creative process that involves solving problems, thinking logically, and building solutions that can help people. I was especially inspired by stories of women who learned to code and successfully built careers in technology, proving that determination and continuous learning can open new opportunities. Being an Afghan woman has also influenced my decision. Because educational and career opportunities are limited, I wanted to develop a skill that is valued globally and can be learned from anywhere. Coding gives me the chance to work remotely, collaborate with international teams, and build a stable future based on my abilities. The more I learned about programming, the more motivated I became to start my own journey. I am excited to learn with SheCodes, build practical projects, and develop the confidence and skills needed to pursue a long-term career in web development.

🙋‍♀️ Masoma's Motivation

My motivation for learning to code with SheCodes comes from my passion for continuous learning and my determination to build a meaningful career in technology. I have always been interested in developing practical skills that allow me to solve problems, create innovative solutions, and make a positive impact. Coding is more than just a technical skill to me—it is an opportunity to shape my future. As an Afghan woman, I have faced significant barriers to education and employment. These challenges have strengthened my resilience and inspired me to seek opportunities that are accessible regardless of my location. Learning to code offers the possibility of working remotely, collaborating with people from around the world, and achieving financial independence through skills that are in demand globally. I believe SheCodes is the ideal place to begin this journey because of its supportive community, structured curriculum, and focus on empowering women in technology. I am eager to learn web development, build real-world projects, and gain the confidence to pursue professional opportunities in the tech industry. In the future, I hope to use these skills not only to advance my own career but also to inspire other young women in Afghanistan to believe that, despite obstacles, they can learn, grow, and create opportunities for themselves through technology.
