Mbali's Story My interest in coding sparked when I realised the tech industry is wide open — it’s hungry for talent and women are still under‑represented. Even though I’m still at varsity and didn’t study maths or science, I love that there are pathways that let me learn coding without the traditional requirements. That feels like a breakthrough chance for me to break into tech on my own terms

I’m already certified with FNB through varsity vibes , where I obtained my full‑stack developer certificate where i mastered the basics of coding. Now I’m hungry to grow more and dive deeper into development. This extra push with SheCodes feels like the perfect next step to level up my skills, sharpen my tech toolbox, and turn my foundation into real‑world impact

My hobbies are basically what I do for fun. I love playing music, watching movies, and when I have spare time I’m glued to the internet searching for new opportunities — I’m always hunting the next cool thing. I also hit the gym and play games whenever I can. Basically, I’m a person who loves new experiences and building a portfolio of stuff I can share with others

Mbali's coding training

Mbali has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!

2. SheCodes AI Basics (3 weeks)
She’ll gain access to each portion after finishing the preceding portion. She’ll build up her coding knowledge gradually along the way. 🙌
