Mbali 's Story I became interested in coding when my younger sister introduced me to it. She is a data analyst and she has always mentioned that the career path she chose has impacted her life in a great way and I have noticed that too. Coding I believe is broad therefore I will have options as to what I want to venture into.

🙋‍♀️ Mbali 's Motivation

My motivation for learning to code is that women are capable of doing anything they set their mind to just like men. People may say it's a male dominant career but women these days are always taking on careers which are male dominant. Male or female every individual deserves a better chance or place in any career they wish to be at. It's more of proving to myself that I can do anything and I will do it. I am very much determined to succeed regardless. I have a younger sister who is a data analyst so this has always sparked an interest especially when she is working. She brief explains where she can but I need more knowledge, I need the skills to embark on this new career path. I also want to improve the livelihood of my children, I'm a single mother of two kids and I want to offer them the best so offering the best will mean that I need to have a career that will pay well and I believe this career is it.

🤹‍♀️ Mbali 's Hobbies

I love to read books, cooking is also something I enjoy doing and traveling especially within my country. Local is lekker, South Africa has so many places to explore.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
