Mbali's Story A friend of mine works as a developer, and I saw how they could turn ideas into real websites and tools. That felt almost like magic to me at first. When they showed me a few lines of code that changed how a webpage looked, I was hooked. I realized it wasn’t magic it was a skill I could learn. That’s what pushed me to finally start with SheCodes.

🙋‍♀️ Mbali's Motivation

My motivation for learning how to code with SheCodes is to break into the tech industry in a practical, supportive, and structured way. I chose SheCodes specifically because it’s designed for women and offers a flexible, project-based curriculum that makes coding accessible even for beginners like me. I want to gain real, job-ready skills starting with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript so I can transition into a tech role, whether as a front-end developer, in product support, or in a tech-adjacent position. SheCodes’ focus on hands-on projects and its community-driven approach gives me the confidence and accountability I need to finally make the leap into tech.

🤹‍♀️ Mbali's Hobbies

I enjoy solving puzzles and logic-based games like Sudoku, crosswords, or strategy board games. I love that feeling of breaking down a problem and finding a solution step by step.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
