Mercy's Story I first became interested in coding when I discovered how websites and applications are built. As a Computer Science student, I became curious about how simple lines of code could create something useful and interactive. I started learning web development, especially HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and I enjoyed turning ideas into working projects. This experience made me want to learn more and build a career in technology.

My motivation for learning how to code with SheCodes is to strengthen my skills in web development and become a confident frontend developer. As a Computer Science student, I want to gain practical experience, build real projects, and learn from a supportive community of women in tech. I believe SheCodes will help me improve my skills, challenge myself, and create opportunities for my future career while also inspiring other young women to pursue technology.

In my free time, I enjoy watching movies, listening to music, exploring new things in technology, and playing games. I also enjoy learning new skills, especially in web development, and working on small coding projects that help me improve my creativity and problem-solving skills.

Mercy's coding training

Mercy has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!

📦 Foundation students get access to these coding workshops:
1. SheCodes Basics (3 weeks)
2. SheCodes AI Basics (3 weeks)
She’ll gain access to each portion after finishing the preceding portion. She’ll build up her coding knowledge gradually along the way. 🙌
