🙋‍♀️ Millicent 's Motivation

As a person who lives with disability, I would like to set an example not only to myself but to everyone in the whole world that everything is possible. I want to make it and work for one of the biggest companies internationally, learning coding will help me to start up my skills in the IT field and grow to even much more skills.I have a hearing impairement and can only survive with hearing aids. My learning journey has been difficult from since I was young as my parents could not afford to buy me a hearing aid, so I soley depended on myself for my studies. In South Africa, we have limited resources for edicational purposes to capture people who are like me. So this has been my ongoing motto in my life, “to make it beyond the odds”

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
