muraya's Story I have a family member who is a programmer and I first heard about coding from him. He has a great job and is financially secure, so I become interested. I did research online, learnt about the different paths, front-end, back-end and full stack and the different programming languages for each path. I watched You tube Tutorials on HTML,CSS and Javascritpt. I was able to create small website with just HTML and CSS. I don't have a good grasp on Javascript yet although I understand the concept a bit.

🙋‍♀️ muraya's Motivation

I read great reviews about Shecodes from previous students who completed the program. The program is a beginner friendly , and the fact that Shecodes offers assistance to women from developing coutries.

🤹‍♀️ muraya's Hobbies

while learning and self-improvement is a huge part of what I love to do, I also love travelling, swimming and attending conferences and engaging with other people.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
