Nape's Story I had a friend who studied programming and would regularly upskill herself by applying for short courses in IT ,since I’d spend most of my time with my her, she landed her first job at a bank and she’s been growing ever since then . That helped me to gain an interest in IT and coding .I knew learning IT would help me to be a problem solver and as a person who’s constantly striving to learn more about coding , I believe it will open great doors for me just as it did for my friend.Learning to code is a door opener for young black girls in Africa , it will help to put us in the forefront of Industrial Revolution and Technology in the world . Coding will help to bring forth many wonderful opportunities of professional and personal development, I believe I will be an unstoppable force in the world of tech through coding and I’ll be able to not only change my life but the lives of many others around me .

I saw quite a few videos on social media of women motivating other women to join the tech world through she codes. I know that learning how to code will empower me and open many doors of work opportunities which will in turn help to improve my life and upskill me forever.

I enjoy reading books , running , playing chess , cooking , and watching YouTube videos on self development and coding.

Nape's coding training

Nape has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!

📦 Foundation students get access to these coding workshops:
1. SheCodes Basics (3 weeks)
2. SheCodes AI Basics (3 weeks)
She’ll gain access to each portion after finishing the preceding portion. She’ll build up her coding knowledge gradually along the way. 🙌
