Naveena 's Story Being an avid lover of words, the use of language to manipulate computers got me intrigued and I took Python Programming as my optional subject in high school. By the end of my senior year in high school, I had to complete a project for the subject and that's what got me hooked. Along with a friend, I worked on building a series of Word Games, named Pent-Word-Agon, implemented using Python and thoroughly enjoyed the process, spending hours on the same daily until it was finished.

🙋‍♀️ Naveena 's Motivation

Coding interests me but my lack of proper experience with real-life projects and scenarios makes it difficult to keep up with my peers. In my university, female students often get sidelined and shadowed by the male students who get more exposure in technical domains. I want to have a deeper understanding of good programming, be better competent at coding than my male peers and guide as well as inspire my juniors.

If you can't find me in front of the screen, I am probably playing my piano or enjoying some sport outdoors. I also take pride in being an bibliophile who loves reading anything ranging from fantasy to memoirs. I also do dramatic monologues every once in a while.

Naveena 's coding training

Naveena has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!
