Nomsimelelo's Story My high school provided a short class on the basics of coding, such HTML and CSS. It was for a period of 6 months. Unfortunately, it was discontinued, and I lack funding to go to a college to learn coding.

🙋‍♀️ Nomsimelelo's Motivation

The aim is to become a software developer and through SheCodes I will be able to learn how to create websites, applications, etc. I will also be expanding my knowledge on coding and enhancing my skills.

🤹‍♀️ Nomsimelelo's Hobbies

I enjoy reading fictional books. I bake (e.g. cakes, biscuits pastry) as often as I can. I watch movies and series in my spare time. I also design/illustrate posters, logos, magazines, video editing and 3D modeling to enhance my designing skills.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
