Nomthandazo's Story My interest in coding began when a friend taught me web design using WordPress. However, I noticed that even though my friend was also using WordPress, he got more job opportunities because he knew how to code. I’m the kind of person who, when doing something, wants to excel, and not knowing how to code holds me back. I can't rely solely on Elementor—it limits what I can do. While I can build basic websites, I’ve realized that learning to code is essential. Plus, I’m fascinated by the idea of creating digital products.

🙋‍♀️ Nomthandazo's Motivation

My interest in learning coding comes from my surprise that such a great opportunity exists. I've always wanted to learn, but I thought it would be too expensive. So when I found this program online, I couldn’t believe it. After doing some research and reading amazing reviews from other women who’ve gone through the program, I realized it’s exactly what I’ve been hoping for.As a mother, I’m always searching for opportunities that allow me to work from home. Right now, I’m focused on finding a way to earn an income that will help support my family.

🤹‍♀️ Nomthandazo's Hobbies

I enjoy listening to music, learning how to draw, and spending time with my family, especially when we're having a braai watching the kids dance an sing.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
