Nomthandazo's Story Since high school, I have been the girl with Computers Applications Technology (CAT). However, it was extremely unfortunate that the subject had to be discontinued due to a lack of resources, so I can state with confidence that I have been interested in coding since high school. However, it was watching social media users interested in coding that renewed my curiosity.

🙋‍♀️ Nomthandazo's Motivation

I regarded learning to code with SheCodes as a great opportunity because, as a female growing up in a developing nation, I cannot afford paying the coding costs at tertiary level, especially considering how quickly the world is changing. It also inspired me to watch my fellow women succeed in life because of the support they received from SheCodes.

🤹‍♀️ Nomthandazo's Hobbies

I'm a naturally curious person, so in my free time, I usually watch videos on YouTube that explain trading and investing. In addition, I play netball, and I enjoy watching YouTube vlogs.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
