Nonkanyiso's Story I came across a video on Tik Tok then l became interested and intrigued to learn how to code. Coding is a necessary skill to learn especially in this revolving industry in tech. My friend from high school started coding in 2017 when l used to see his videos l then started doing research about coding and then developed a passion to challenge myself to get more knowledge about it.

I want to gain the necessary skills and knowledge to advance me in the tech industry. I want to change my life and my family’s as there are a lot of opportunities in the tech industry. My end goal is to be a software developer.

I love to read novels. I also take the time to watch YouTube videos to learn new skills. I am also passionate about cooking and being a stylist.

Nonkanyiso's coding training

Nonkanyiso has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!
