Nosipho's Story My interest started with curiosity. I’m naturally detail-oriented from doing data entry and spreadsheets. One day I noticed how every website is just organized data and logic. I wondered “how does this button actually work?” I Googled it and tried changing text on a free website builder. When it worked, I felt the same satisfaction I get from a perfectly organized spreadsheet. Coding felt like problem-solving + creativity together. SheCodes came up when I searched for a course made for women beginners, and that’s what pushed me to apply.

🙋‍♀️ Nosipho's Motivation

I want to join SheCodes because I’m motivated to build skills that give me financial independence. As a mom to a 13-month old, I need flexible work I can do from home. Coding will let me create my own projects instead of waiting for admin gigs. SheCodes’ beginner-friendly, step-by-step approach is perfect because I don’t have a tech background yet. My goal is to finish the course and start building simple websites for local businesses within 6 months.

I enjoy learning new computer skills, keeping things organized, and spending time with my daughter - we dance to music and go for walks. I also watch self-growth and tech tutorials during nap time. I find fun in small wins, like learning one new thing each day. I’m excited to add coding to my list of hobbies.

Nosipho's coding training

Nosipho has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!

2. SheCodes AI Basics (3 weeks)
She’ll gain access to each portion after finishing the preceding portion. She’ll build up her coding knowledge gradually along the way. 🙌
