Nwonye's Story Studying computer science but while in college, my fellow students who are indians already learnt how to code from basics(while growing up) and this made the school to not add coding basics to our curriculum in college. They felt everyone should have the basic knowledge and they just went straight into the various languages. I was unable to learn how to code cause I had a kid in between school also, I wanted to learn on my own but it all became difficult with lots of things to do at the same time.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
