Nyiko's Story I first became interested in coding when I started WeThinkCode_ bootcamp and became interested in coding when I started noticing how much technology influences our everyday lives. I became curious about how websites, apps, and digital platforms are created and wanted to understand what happens behind the scenes. The idea that I could learn to create something from scratch using code really inspired me. That curiosity motivated me to explore coding further and made me excited about building my skills and discovering what I can achieve with technology. how much technology influences our everyday lives. 🙋‍♀️ Nyiko's Motivation

I’m motivated to learn how to code with SheCodes because I want to build practical skills that can open new career opportunities for me. I’m currently a student at WeThinkCode_ where it is peer to peer learning, and I want to understand how websites and technology work and to develop the confidence to create things myself rather than just use them. I also see coding as a valuable skill that can help me grow professionally, become more independent, and explore opportunities in the tech industry. SheCodes feels like a supportive and accessible way to start that journey, and I’m eager to learn, challenge myself, and turn my ideas into real projects.

🤹‍♀️ Nyiko's Hobbies

In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, but lately, I’ve been really into running. I’m currently training for my first half marathon in September. I also enjoy learning new things and discovering activities that challenge me and help me grow. I like keeping a good balance between relaxing, having fun, and doing things that inspire me. Running is something that really challenges me to keep pushing myself and reminds me that I’m capable of doing difficult things when I stay committed and don’t give up.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
