Olena's Story My first interest in coding appeared when in Ukraine we were working on our web site for sign production sales, and we came up with the point that the existing templates were not quite what we needed, and then I realized that I understand how it is supposed to be, but I lack the skills of actually doing it.

🙋‍♀️ Olena's Motivation

I have been thinking about learning coding for a while already, and back home I was looking for an appropriate school even, when the was has started. I have well developed analytical skills, and always was trying to create things, not just fullfill. When in the US I was trying to find the appropriate course, and I know a lot of schools offer some - but so far I cannot quite afford them.

🤹‍♀️ Olena's Hobbies

I am quite a communicative person, so for fun I meet with my family and friends, spend time with my daughter and my pets. As a hobby I can name reading, creating visuals for commercial accounts, also ride a bike.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
