Peace's Story My journey into coding began from a place of necessity, determination, and hope. I first became interested in running a business because of my financial situation and my desire to be independent. This led me to start a small online footwear store, something I was genuinely proud of. As the business grew, I wanted it to look more professional and trustworthy, so I began thinking about creating a proper website to showcase my products and reach more customers. However, I quickly realized that I couldn’t afford to pay for a website. Instead of giving up, I made a decision that changed everything—I chose to learn how to build one myself. That was the moment I encountered my first lines of code. At first, it felt unfamiliar and challenging, but as I continued, I became deeply fascinated. Watching something I wrote come alive on a screen gave me a sense of joy, fulfillment, and confidence I had never felt before. Around this time, I started talking more with friends who were already in tech, seeing the things they were building and the problems they were solving. Their passion inspired me, and my curiosity grew stronger. I realized that coding wasn’t just a tool to support my business—it was something I truly loved. Writing code, fixing errors, and seeing results made me feel empowered and capable. Today, I am genuinely passionate about coding and eager to grow in the tech space. I am committed to learning, improving, and building meaningful solutions. With the right mentorship, guidance, and support from the DELAC team, I believe I can turn this passion into a sustainable career and a source of impact. I truly need and value all the help I can get to achieve this dream, and I am ready to put in the work.
