Perpetua's Story During the pandemic, a few friends of mine started coding and it picked my interest. Since then I have been trying to self-learn but picked very little due to lack of mentor or proper guidance.

🙋‍♀️ Perpetua's Motivation

I would wish to know how to code so that I can improve my career prospects and get a better job. This will ensure that I can provide a better life for my family. I am a nutrition and dietetics student in the health sector. In this field a lot of my reference materials are not of people from the same environment as ours yet they are the certified reference point for us to maintain a good nutritional status. Me, learning to code, will enable me to come up with better ways to present my findings and even create websites with current and with our autonomy preserved. when I think of sites that future students or just anyone would get to use as they cater to them, I get very motivated to really learn to code.

🤹‍♀️ Perpetua's Hobbies

I enjoy reading fictional novels and started crocheting.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
