Phelele's Story I have been doing research on work that you can do from home and it appears that coding may be a lucrative career path. There are many sources online that advise people to learn how to code but they're usually very confusing as there is no clear path for someone who is a complete novice like myself. With the unemployment stats in South Africa, it is important for me to position myself in the most favorable position to be employed both in the country and beyond.

I am realizing that the world we live in constantly need new skills which I do not have. I have been unemployable for a few years due to this and would love to build some form of income for myself. After doing some research online I found that SheCodes is a reliable foundation that can equip me with modern skills. Many reviews indicated that with enough commitment and consistency, completing a this course would propel into the I.T employment space.

🤹‍♀️ Phelele's Hobbies

I love watching documentaries about evolution and paleolithic period as they give me an interesting perspective into human nature. I also enjoy discourse on women empowerment as well as feminism and independence in the African context. Another one of my hobbies is preserving. I like trying out different ways of preserving vegetables like pickling, canning and fermenting. I also love language, so anything that has to do with language such as poetry is a treat for me.

Phelele's coding training

Phelele has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!
