Precious 's Story My elder sister studied computer science and ever since SSS1 I have also known that following that foot step was what I wanted. I guess watching her on the laptop was so cool. I eventually started learning how to code HTML on YouTube and It was the best feeling in the world. I would continue but I don’t now how to go forward and I always have questions that I can’t get answers of. Learning coding with SheCodes would be a privilege.

🙋‍♀️ Precious 's Motivation

Growing up in Nigeria, the vibrant tech scene always fascinated me. In a male dominated field, I would really like to contribute my skills and bridge gender and race gaps while inspiring younger girls to pursue their interests. My father passed on 2020 during the end sars protest after his shops were raided which lead to depression and eventually death. Considering the economic conditions I also need to find something that can be my financial assistance and stop depending on my mother. I’m currently a student and finding a source of income is required. I strongly believe SheCodes can make this possible and I am determined to see it through.

🤹‍♀️ Precious 's Hobbies

I like to surf the internet. I also like to read books and crochet. Spending time with my family and friends also is something that I endeavor to do.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
