Prudence's Story I became interested in coding when I read about the Apollo 11 mission. One of the key elements for the success was a woman named Katherine Johnson an African-American mathematician and NASA employee, whose calculations were crucial to the success of the Apollo 11 mission which resulted in the first lunar landing and moonwalk by Neil Armstrong, Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin, and Michael Collins.

🙋‍♀️ Prudence's Motivation

And also build my confidence and self-sufficiency in creating digital products and solutions. I love to connect with a supportive community of women in tech and learn from their experiences. Last but not least I want to develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills which are paramount in both work and private life.

🤹‍♀️ Prudence's Hobbies

I enjoy quite a couple of activities. I love to exercise and refresh my mind. I also love playing chess and puzzles as this helps to provide a fun and challenging way to exercise my brain and improve my critical thinking and problem-solving skills. I love engaging in any activities that challenge my mind as this helps build cognitive reserve, which supports my brain health throughout life.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
