Quinnie's Story My first approach was when I was around 20 years old, I wanted to know how to build a webpage or learn something could've been useful in my future to find a good job. It was hard, I had many doubts and none to ask. But still fascinating to see the things that you can do with coding.

🙋‍♀️ Quinnie's Motivation

As a woman from Colombia I might face unique challenges while trying to start a career in the programming world. Learning how to code can help me to develop new skills that can open up new career paths for me here in Colombia and abroad in that way I can provide a better life to those who depend on me. Also, after watching the Intro free Coding class, I felt super engaged with the program and motivated to be part of SheCodes. I've seen many videos over internet trying to learn how to code and I ended up with so many questions. Here in the 60 minutes class with Matt I understood so many things! And I want to learn so much more!!

🤹‍♀️ Quinnie's Hobbies

I am a very active person; I do love sports, mostly swimming and Hiking. I have a dog, so we go a lot to the mountains. There is a mountain not that far from my home that works as a paragliding takeoff runaway, so we enjoy going there and watch all the paragliders fly, with all the colors of their paragliding sails in the sky. Is my favorite plan for Sundays.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
