Reabetswe's Story I first became interested in coding during my first web development class. Although IT wasn't my intial career choice, that class sparked a deep interest in web development. As I learned more about building websites and coding, I felt a rush of excitement and curiosity, which made me eager to explore further. The challenge of understanding how code works and how to create functional websites gave me a sense of fulfilment. Over time, I realised that this was more than just an interest-it was becoming a passion. That moment solidified my desire to pursue web development as my career path in the IT industry.

My motivation for learning to code with SheCodes stems from a desire to challenge the notion that coding is a male-dominated field. I've always been curious, and coding is one of the areas that sparked my interest. Seeing women thrive in this industry, despite its challenges, inspired me. I want to prove that not only is it possible for women to excel in coding, but its also empowering and rewarding. My goal is to be someone who not only masters coding but also stands out, demonstrating that women can shine in this space. By pursing coding with SheCodes, I hope to contribute to a more inclusive environment where women are recognised for their talents and are equally represented in the tech world.

For fun, I enjoy exploring websites and activities that help enhance my profile and CV. I also love researching the latest technological advancements and trends in the tech industry, keeping myself informed about what's happening in that space and lastly I'm passionate about music and dancing.

Reabetswe's coding training

Reabetswe has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!

📦 Foundation students get access to these coding workshops:
1. SheCodes Basics (3 weeks)
2. SheCodes AI Basics (3 weeks)
She’ll gain access to each portion after finishing the preceding portion. She’ll build up her coding knowledge gradually along the way. 🙌
