Rebecca's Story My initial interest in coding sprouted from the inspiring community of women in tech I encountered on social media. Witnessing their achievements and contributions motivated me to explore this dynamic field. The pivotal moment, however, came when I decided to create websites for a non-profit organization I'm passionate about. The process of crafting digital solutions for a cause I deeply cared about ignited a fascination with web development. As I delved into coding to bring these visions to life, the sense of empowerment and impact solidified my commitment to mastering the craft. The amalgamation of witnessing trailblazing women in coding and the hands-on experience of building meaningful projects fueled my journey into the world of programming. This dual inspiration has not only sparked my interest but also fueled my determination to contribute meaningfully to the tech industry and create positive change through code.

Learning to code is a compelling pursuit for me due to its dynamic nature and vast opportunities. In the rapidly growing tech industry, coding presents a gateway to a myriad of career prospects, offering the potential to uplift my home situation. Moreover, coding is a global language, providing the flexibility to work remotely and fulfill my dream of traveling while maintaining a career. I enjoy immersing myself in the worlds crafted by books, exploring diverse genres to broaden my perspectives. Additionally, I find joy in the artistry of beauty, experimenting with makeup techniques and skincare routines.

Rebecca's coding training

Rebecca has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!

1. SheCodes Basics (3 weeks)
2. SheCodes AI Basics (3 weeks)
She’ll gain access to each portion after finishing the preceding portion. She’ll build up her coding knowledge gradually along the way. 🙌
