Refentse's Story I have always had the interest since 2015 in my matric year as I wanted to pursue pharmaceutical engineering and use technology to improve medication accessibility. I could not do so as I lacked guidance and resources.

🙋‍♀️ Refentse's Motivation

I have had an interest in coding for quite some time and want to elevate my skills. I am currently studying towards my pharmacy degree with no proper funding and I believe that once I gain the skills of coding through SheCodes, I can provide for myself. The course is also free, which is helpful as I am eager to learn but my only struggle was paying for the lessons.

🤹‍♀️ Refentse's Hobbies

I enjoy reading novels, drawing, painting, braiding hair, taking free short courses and dancing.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
