Ruqiya Abdullahi

Ruqiya's Story It just began for me in 2024 when I participated in a three-month computer class where I gained skills in terms of Microsoft programs and how to use them. In fact, we were not taught how to code, but learned how to use digital tools. One day, my instructor talked about the application of coding in our life like its role in building websites, apps, software engineering and many more areas. As she was talking, I became very passionate and interested to learn coding because I found what I really loved. That was not enough when I came back home, I took my mom’s phone and searched a lot about computer science, its branches and coding, so I could know more better. I also watched some videos to see how coding looks like and what we can do with it. There was a video which talked about the role of coding in developing problem-solving skills, so I found it even more interesting since I love math and science. The first time when I wrote a few lines of code for HTML and CSS, my curiosity doubled even more because I saw how it could create real results.
