Rutendo's Story I came over a website that I felt needed improvement, which sparked my interest in coding. I discovered that I wanted to know how it operated and how I could modify it. I discovered after doing some research that the secret to building and modifying websites was code. I became interested in learning more after my initial inquiry, and I've been captivated by the potential of coding ever since.Then my friend Anymore shared her experiences with SheCodes Foundation.

🙋‍♀️ Rutendo's Motivation

Technology and problem-solving have always captivated me, and I see learning to code as a means of realizing my ideas. My goal is to be able to develop applications and websites that make a difference. I was drawn to SheCodes because of its approach to learning, which is practical and approachable. I also think that the encouraging atmosphere they provide would enable me to confidently develop my talents. The chance to network with other women who share my interests and acquire the technical know-how to work in technology excites me.

🤹‍♀️ Rutendo's Hobbies

I keep myself stimulated and intrigued by reading books in my spare time, especially those that deal with technology and personal growth. I also adore taking pictures, especially when I'm in the great outdoors. It gives me a creative outlet and enables me to view the world from various angles. I've started looking into coding as a method to push myself and pick up new abilities because I like learning new things and solving riddles.

Rutendo's coding training

Rutendo has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!

📦 Foundation students get access to these coding workshops:
1. SheCodes Basics (3 weeks)
2. SheCodes AI Basics (3 weeks)
She’ll gain access to each portion after finishing the preceding portion. She’ll build up her coding knowledge gradually along the way. 🙌
