Samantha 's Story I became interested in coding through a former roommate who was pursuing computer science. Watching her tackle complex problems, create innovative solutions, and passionately discuss the endless possibilities of technology ignited a spark in me. She often shared her projects and experiences, and her enthusiasm was contagious. As a young Black woman from a previously disadvantaged background, my determination and resilience are already my greatest strengths. By choosing to learn how to code, I am not only investing in my own potential but also paving the way for others who will look to me as a trailblazer.

I have a diverse range of hobbies that keep me engaged and fulfilled. I enjoy staying active and maintaining a healthy lifestyle through various forms of fitness. Learning new languages is a passion of mine, as it allows me to expand my linguistic skills and explore different cultures. I love diving into different genres and discovering new authors and stories through reading. Additionally, I find joy in cooking old recipes, experimenting with traditional dishes, and exploring culinary history.

Samantha 's coding training

Samantha has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!

1. SheCodes Basics (3 weeks)
2. SheCodes AI Basics (3 weeks)
She’ll gain access to each portion after finishing the preceding portion. She’ll build up her coding knowledge gradually along the way. 🙌
