Sandrine Fola's Story I have always loved mathematics and numbers. So when I graduated from high school, I wanted to do civil engineering but my parents discouraged me from doing it saying it was expensive and was a career for men. Well, currently I am surrounded by a lot of people in tech who have helped demystify the tech industry for me. My husband especially, a solutions architect, has given me enough reason to start coding.

🙋‍♀️ Sandrine Fola's Motivation

A friend of mine started an NGO( AfriTech Hub Cameroon) to encourage and promote stem education for girl. I then volunteered as the finance manager. When I look at the crowd of girls she pulls for her after school stem clubs, boot camps and career orientations, I am impressed and some day I would love to also stand in front of young ladies as a trainer or a mentor. I dream to become a leading woman in tech so now is the time for me start working towards realizing that goal

🤹‍♀️ Sandrine Fola's Hobbies

In my free time I like to visit friends or family just to catchup on time spent apart. I like watching movies too so some weekends my husband takes me to the Cinema. And the best of all is cooking. I love love trying out new recipes. Some times I have to try the recipe doesn't come out perfect at first try. But that doesn't stop me from trying again.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
