Sandy Ruvimbo's Story I first became interested in coding when I started pursuing my IT diploma and took a class in web development. Prior to that, I didn't have much exposure to programming, but once I got a taste of building websites in that course, I found it to be really intriguing and satisfying work. Designing the structure, styling, and interactivity of web pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript sparked my curiosity. I enjoyed the problem-solving aspects of coding, figuring out how to bring my ideas to life through computer programs. The sense of accomplishment in creating functional, visually appealing websites was very motivating.

My motivation for learning to code with SheCodes is to develop a strong foundation in the basics of programming and software development. As someone who is interested in exploring remote work opportunities, I believe having demonstrable coding skills and the ability to create functional websites and applications will be crucial.

In addition to my passion for coding and expanding my tech skills, I really enjoy spending time with my babies. Being a parent is such a rewarding experience, and I love playing with my little ones, watching them learn and grow. Whether it's reading them stories, taking them to the park, or just cuddling at home, that quality time with my children is always a highlight. When I'm not coding or caring for my family, I also really enjoy getting lost in a good novel. Reading is such an immersive and good experience for me. I love discovering new worlds and characters through fiction, and I find it to be a wonderful way to unwind and relax.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!
